Well there's nothing like flying by the seat of your pants, is there? lol. :D
Over at the Cosmo cricket blog they had a great competition to win some 'Delovely' goodies by using this sketch by Gudrun:
I just loved the sketch for it's simplicity and it gave me inspiration to cut into the gorgeous Material Girl paper that I'd been hoarding. As a change to photos of my children, I chose to scrap an iphone photo taken at the hairdressers after I'd had my hair done recently. We were messing around and I started pouting and laughing and the resulting photo followed. I turned it into B and W using picasa and made a collage using 3 identical photos. I sewed around the edges of the paper leaving a gap in the green scissor paper so that I could slot in a journalling block with some hidden journalling on. The chipboard girl is from the Material girl collection too- cute huh?
Anyway, I'm off to link to their blog and hope I haven't missed the deadline. Go check it out here

My mystery kit prize
I was very excited today to recieve my mystery kit prize from Sarahs cards and this was in my box (apologies for iphone photo quality):
I think they've given me just about every type of adhesive available and a bit of bling for good measure! I'm dead chuffed with it and reason that I can now spend more on pretty paper now, surely?
It was nice to receive a box to cheer me up after a hellish night with the girlchild whose pox is only just starting to scab over. I think it was 4am before I got to sleep last night. On the plus side, if she does that again tonight at least I can watch the election results unfold. That should get us both off to sleep quicker....

WOYWW?
Ok, so this is kinda cheating as it's not actually my workdesk (i'm on mums dining table) but it's where I'm working today and that works for me! Mum's kindly helping me out whilst the girlchild is still poxy and the boychild needs entertaining hence shipping my craft stuff over to hers for the day. Anyway, what's on it?
1) Travel accessory caddy full of various tools, glue and a bit of bling.
2)Those sea creature stickers I blogged about earlier.
3)Some cards that I'm making with those stickers (have photographed some but haven't yet uploaded as my laptop's died and it has the photos).
4)2 laptops (one I'm using now and mine which is being resusitated with mums laptop cable as we speak)
5)Couple of magazines (Scrapbook trends- where art thou?)
Errr.... that's about it. :( Was hoping to do some scrapping today but lunch with my mate and a bit of shopping took precedence instead. :D

How fab are these?
The lovely (and very talented) Gwyneth123 over at UKS has made me two absolutely gorgeous cards for my nephews birthday on Friday. He's absolutely Mickey mad so these are just perfect for him. You can find Gwyneths blog here. How great are they? Am I gushing enough over them? lol!
