Sarahs Cards Retreat

After talking to fellow scrappers this weekend about our group retreat last week, I figured it was probably time I actually blogged about it!

For people who don't recognise these two lovely ladies, they are Lianne and Sarah who own and run the fabby Sarahscardsltd and were hosting this event. This is their fab and very friendly Design Team who were helping them with classes etc:

The main cropping room was open 24/7 and was plenty big enough for all of us plus the sizeable shop (more about that later!)

This is Mel and I looking busy whilst 'getting on scrap on!'

As a scrapper who looks to spread out, by midnight I was scrapping on the floor. Gotta love me some misting too!

This was the 'Posh Scrappers Ladies On Tour' in the midst of a class. Quite crowded in the classrooms but as you were only in there for a short time, it was survivable.

Some of the Sarahs Cards shop. I only spent a small fortune in here. Honest.

There's some serious scrumminess to be found in there though!

More of the shop:

I really can't believe it was a week ago that we were there as the weekend went so fast and it seems like such a long time ago. I really enjoyed it though and hope that I'm lucky enough to be able to afford to go again soon!

I'll try and post some pics of LOs from the classes soon.

Dear blog...

Dear Blog,
What can I say? I'm sorry. I know I've neglected you. I apologise. It's not that I've disappeared from the face of the Earth or cheated on you with another website. Really, the truth is I've been busy. Really busy. Like moving house busy. Or starting back at work busy. Or having 3 big birthdays in a row, busy. You know, just the normal life stuff with a few larger curve balls thrown in for good measure.
I didn't forget about you though. To prove it I have a few days worth of loveliness to share with you. Last weekend I was at the Sarahs Cards retreat making gorgeousness with about 100 other lovely ladies. Inbetween classes I was busy scrapping for all my life was worth. I hope you agree it was worth it. After all, if I didn't take time out to make stuff then where we would be?
Really hope I'm forgiven.
Lou

Sketch challenge using a Studio Calico kit, my new mask and some mists. Happy days.

Inspired by Shimelles 'Pretty Paper party' class, I made a couple of LO's using a patchwork technique and more Studio Calico loveliness.

A another Shimelle inspired LO about the things I'm loving at the moment- think this could use more journalling so I shall add that later.

I don't often do Double LO's any more but these photos were screaming for 2 pages! A bit of October Afternoon on this page with some Studio Calico and some old stash.

T4L!
